1. Booking & Confirmation
All sessions must be booked in advance and confirmed in writing via email or text message.
A booking is only secured once a deposit has been received, unless otherwise agreed in writing.
Studio time is allocated in blocks (e.g. hourly, half-day, full day) and covers all services including recording, editing, writing, and mixing.
Where session preparation requires client-supplied files (e.g. audio files, reference tracks, or written feedback), these must be submitted to Callum's team no later than 48 hours prior to the session. Failure to provide files by this deadline does not void the booking — the full agreed session fee remains payable regardless.
2. Project Scope
At the time of booking, the key details of the project must be agreed upon and confirmed in writing via email. This includes, but is not limited to: number of tracks, session format, musical style, instrumentation, musicians involved, and any specific technical requirements.
Once a deposit has been paid, these agreed project details are considered fixed. Changes to the core scope of the project, including but not limited to the number of tracks, format, timeline, or nature of the work, will not be accommodated under the original booking. Any significant changes will be treated as a new booking and subject to a new quote and deposit.
3. Rates & payment
Session rates are as quoted at the time of booking. Rates may be subject to change for future bookings.
A non-refundable deposit (typically 25–50% of the total session fee) is required to secure a booking.
The remaining balance is due prior to delivery of any files or recordings.
Additional time used beyond the booked session will be charged at the standard hourly rate and invoiced accordingly. The number of additional hours will be agreed upon in writing before work commences.
Accepted payment methods: bank transfer, card, or as otherwise agreed in writing.
4. Cancellation & rescheduling
Cancellations made with more than 72 hours' notice: deposit may be credited toward a rescheduled session.
Cancellations within 24 hours or no-shows: the full session fee may be charged.
The engineer/studio reserves the right to cancel a session in the event of equipment failure or unforeseen circumstances, with a full refund or reschedule offered.
5. Session conduct & studio access
Clients and their guests must behave respectfully toward staff, equipment, and other studio users at all times.
The engineer/studio reserves the right to end a session without refund if a client is abusive, intoxicated, or endangering equipment or people.
No food or drink near mixing consoles, outboard gear, or instruments unless explicitly permitted.
The number of guests permitted in the studio may be limited; please confirm guest arrangements in advance.
6. Equipment & damage
Clients are responsible for any damage to studio equipment, instruments, or property caused by themselves or their guests.
Damaged or lost items will be charged at full replacement cost.
Clients must not move, modify, or tamper with studio equipment without prior consent from the engineer.
7. File Delivery, Revisions & Session Storage
To ensure a consistent and professional standard of work, no raw recordings, multitracks, session files, or rough mixes will be released prior to completion of the agreed mixing process by Callum Edwards, unless otherwise agreed in writing.
Clients may request alternate mix versions (including instrumental, acapella, stems, or performance versions) during the active mixing stage of the project.
Final files (including approved mixes, stems, and recordings) will be delivered digitally in the agreed format within the timeframe specified at booking. Files will only be released once full payment has been received.
The quoted rate includes a set number of revision rounds (e.g. two rounds of mix revisions). Once final mixes have been approved and delivered, any further revisions, edits, mix variations, alternate versions, or additional requests will incur additional charges billed at the standard hourly rate.
The engineer will retain session files for a minimum of 30 days following final delivery. Long-term archiving or backup of session files is not guaranteed unless arranged separately in writing.
